Onboarding Employee Status

The point of onboarding an employee is at. New Employee record has Not Applicable as the Onboarding Status.

When you opt in for Onboarding, the Onboarding Status column will be visible in the New/Edit Employee grid. This same status will display in the bottom right corner of the Onboarding page within the New Employee Wizard.

Description

Not Initiated

A new record has been created using the wizard, but the Onboarding invitation has not been sent. This could be because the onboarding page:

  • is partially complete

  • Invite Employee hasn't been clicked

  • Invite Employee has been skipped, and the employee has been entered manually

If you skip sending an invitation to a new employee initially and you can invite them later.

Note: Any information submitted by the employee will overwrite the details already entered in the wizard.

Invitation Sent

An Invitation was sent to the employee when the Invite Employee button was clicked. This status also displays when an invitation is resent.

Invitation Cancelled

The Cancel Invite button was clicked. When this occurs, the onboarding link in the invitation email expires immediately.

You can invite the employee again if required.

In Progress

The new employee has clicked on the Complete Onboarding button in their invite to open the onboarding form.

Completed

All required information has been entered and submitted by the new employee. These details are updated in the New Employee Wizard. The wizard can now be completed, and the employee added to payroll.

When you add the new employee to payroll, the New Employee record will clear from the grid.

Not Applicable

You will see this status if the New Employee record has been created by another program, e.g., a third-party HR system.

This status will also be displayed if no invite email will be sent, e.g., the new employee is a contractor with a Voluntary Agreement and ABN.
