Our MFA provider for the Hosted or Payroll Online Environment is miniOrange Authenticator.
Phone Requirements:
iOS 16.2 and up (as of 26 June 2025)
Android 8.0 and up (as of 24 June 2025)
Note: Okta, Microsoft and Google etc. will NOT work with the new MFA solution.
In this article you will find instructions on how to enrol in the Hosted Cloud Environment with the new Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
Step 1 - Install the miniOrange Authenticator App on Mobile:
Scroll down to the instructions for your device.
For iOS:
Open the Camera app on your phone.
Scan the QR code below to be directed to the app for installation.
Or for manual installation, go to the App Store and search for MFA-Authenticator miniOrange.
3. Download and install the miniOrange Authenticator app.
For Android:
Open the Camera app on your phone.
Scan the QR Code below to be directed to the app for installation.
Or for manual installation, go to the Play Store and search for authenticator miniOrange.
3. Download and install the miniOrange Authenticator app.
Step 2 - Login to miniOrange Website via PC:
Open https://payrollonlinemfa.xecurify.com/ in your computer browser.
2. Enter your Payroll Online username without domain (@hostedmicropay.local) (e.g. John Doe.h12345).
3. Click Login.
4. Enter your Payroll Online Password.
5. Click Login.
6. Select Push Notifications.
8. Open the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone.
9. Click + (plus button) and select Scan QR Code.
10. From the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone, scan the QR code shown on your computer screen.
11. If the QR code scan on your phone is successful, the account will appear in the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone, and QR code will be ticked on your PC/Laptop.
12. Click Register on your PC/Laptop to proceed to the security questions.
13. Set security questions and answers.
14. Click Save.

Step 3 - Test MFA Post-Enrolment
Once you have submitted the security questions, click click here to try the login for the miniOrange website.
2. Enter your Payroll Online credentials and select Push Notification (Bell icon).
3. On your mobile, slide down to view notifications. Tap the miniOrange notifications and click Accept.
4. If it is successful, click your initials at the top right of the miniOrange website on your PC/Laptop and Sign Out.
5. Using the Remote App to access WageEasy, login to Payroll Online and accept the authentication.
