Hosted online MFA Notifications are not received

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) prompts/notifications are not received for Hosted or Payroll Online using miniOrange

If you are not receiving notifications follow the below steps:

Step 1 - Check miniOrange notifications on mobile

For Android users:

  1. Open the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone.

  2. Click on the Menu (three lines in the top left).

  3. Select Pending Notifications, Check Pending Notifications.

  4. Click your account and select Accept to clear all prompts.

  5. Return to the Menu.

  6. Select Sync Time.

  7. Then select Sync Time Now.

  8. Ignore the 'Please connect to internet!' message, if you receive it.

For iPhone users:

  1. Open the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone.

  2. Click Sync at the bottom.

  3. Then click Sync Time Now.

  4. Select your account.

  5. Click Accept to clear all prompts.

Step 2 - Log into miniOrange website on your PC

  1. Open https://payrollonlinemfa.xecurify.com/ in your computer browser.

  2. Enter your username (Example: JohnDoe.h12345) without @hostedmicropay.local.

  3. Click Login.

  4. Enter your password (Hosted or Payroll Online password).

  5. Click Login.

  6. Select miniOrange Authenticator options and Push Notification bell icon.

  7. Open the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone. Check how fast you receive the notification prompt on your phone.

  8. Click Accept / Approve when you receive the authentication prompt.

  9. If the prompt does not arrive, click Phone is Offline?. This will open the Verify your identity window.

  10. In the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone, the six-digit code is available. This refreshes after 30 seconds. If you do not see the six-digit code immediately, tap your account listed to view the code.

  11. Enter the six-digit code that appears in the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone into Enter OTP here on the computer browser.

  12. Click Verify.

If the six-digit code fails multiple times and you can't log into the miniOrange website raise a case online and request an MFA Reset.

Step 3 - Configure Second Factor

  1. On your computer, click Setup 2FA at the top.

  2. Select MiniOrange Authenticator.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Open the miniOrange Authenticator app on your phone.

  5. Click Add (+ button).

  6. Scan the QR code displayed in the miniOrange webpage on your computer.

  7. If the QR code is successful, you will receive a Push notifications configures successfully pop-up in the top right.

  8. On your computer, click your initials in the top right.

  9. Select Sign out.

  10. Retry your login for the Remote App, to confirm that the authentication prompt is received.

  11. If the prompt is not immediate, on your mobile slide down to view your notification list (pending notifications).

  12. Click miniOrange notification in the list to trigger the prompt.

If the prompt still does not arrive and does not appear in the notification list on your mobile, raise a case online to request an MFA reset.
