To trigger Period Overtime, review the Overtime rules:
Click Set up, Awards, select the applicable Award. Period Overtime is set in the Award, Normal, Normal Times. Once the employee reaches the amount of hours set in Period, they will get period overtime. If the employee is on a weekly roster, the Period is Weekly, Hours 38 and Days 5. If your employee is on a 4 weekly roster, the Period is 4Week, Hours 152 and Days 20. When a period (other than Week) is used, the Period Start box has to be ticked and the start date of the cycle entered. This way, the Award will know when the cycle starts.
Click Loadings, Overtime.
Scroll down to For Period Overtime, untick Treat Each Shift Separately.
Scroll down to Leave Payments to include in Period Overtime Calculation.
Tick Use Period O/T payment conditions (instead of the day O/T payment conditions) if the period overtime conditions are different from the day overtime conditions. The norm is that the conditions are the same, and this box is not ticked.
Click the Close icon to save.
Re-process the pay, the Overtime should now be calculated for the period.
