You may receive the following Diagnostic message when importing a timecard file in WageEasy, Wages, Auto: Database Access Error. The Microsoft Engine has a limitation on the number of tables which can be open at any one time. You have reached this limit with the current operation. To resume normal operations, please close all Wage Easy windows which you have open. This will close any tables which those windows have open and allow you to continue with this task.
β
The above Diagnostic appears when the time and attendance system populates the timecard file with individual dates for each day of leave, for example if an employee goes on 2 weeks leave in a fortnightly pay, each day of leave is coming in as a separate entry in the timecard rather than 1 leave record for the date range of the leave. This diagnostic will appear if there are a lot of individual leave dates for a lot of employees in a particular pay period.
β
To resolve the error, it is recommended to import the timecard in groups of employees i.e. select about 20 employees and right click to select the option to import that selection, finish the wizard, then go to the auto import again and select the next 20 employees to import, continue until all employee timecards have been imported.
