This document is a step by step guide to adding a new Leave Type in WageEasy. This Leave Type does not have an accrual and can be used for any ad hoc types of leave, e.g., Study Leave, Wellness Day, Birthday Leave, Picnic Day, Xmas Shopping Day.

In this example, I will be adding Xmas Shopping Day Leave to an Award:
Go to Setup, Awards and select an award, and Edit.
In the Award, Leave, Add/Delete Leave, Next.
Select Add new leave type, Next.
On the Enter Details of the New Leave Type page:
Leave Type, type Xmas Shopping.
Description, type Xmas Shopping Day, and Tab.
Short Description will display the same as Description.
Enter a GL Code if applicable (leave blank if unsure).
Leave Show Leave Total on Employee Pay Slips and Show Leave Entitlement on Employee Pay Slips unchecked.
Next, Next, Finish.
Once the Leave Type has been created, modify the Payments tab:
Tick Payments can be edited at Wages Processing.
Payment Calculation: Payment Method = Use Standard Pay Rates, Pay Rate Loading = 0.00%, Loading Method = Add to Base Rate.
Note: A new Leave Type will have to be added to all Awards if it is to be used by all employees.
