To create a flat rate tax table for a tax variation for a New Zealand employee, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Access WageEasy, Setup, Tax, Tables.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter a relevant description for the new tax table, e.g., WT (Schedular Payment) 10%.

  4. Add the Weekly Tax Free Amount: 0.00.

  5. The Tax Code will be WT.

  6. Don't tick the Student Loan Tax Table.

  7. In the Weekly Earnings (x) Less Than $ column, enter 999999999 (nine 9s), in column a 0.10, and nothing in column b. The value in column a is the % of the flat rate tax table.

To link this tax table to the relevant employee, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Employee, Payments, Tax, Tax Table.

  2. Select the drop-down list and find the new tax rate you created in step 3 above.
