Note: Please read the below payment criteria as a guide as to when you upgrade your April 1 Tax Tables into your New Zealand database.
Use these PAYE tables for PAYE income payments paid on or after 1 April 2025.

  • If your employee pay period ends before 31 March 2025 but you pay them on or after 1 April 2025, use these PAYE tables

  • If your employee pay period ends after 31 March 2025 but you pay them before 31 March 2025, use the PAYE tables from 31 July 2024 to March 31 2025

  1. Download and copy the New Zealand Tax_2025-26 Update.pdl to your desktop.

  2. Take a Backup (or an archive copy to another location) of your WageEasy database BEFORE updating your tax tables.

  3. In WageEasy, click on Setup, Associations, New Zealand Tax and click Edit and then click on the Internet Tab.

  4. Within the Internet Tab, tick ONLY the Tax Tables & Rebates box and select the Update Now button.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Select Load from Disk File and Locate the updated New Zealand Tax_2025-26_update.Pdl by clicking on the (…) Ellipsis button. Once you have found the new New Zealand Tax_2025-26_update.Pdl, select Next.

  7. Select Finish to complete the update process.

  8. Once complete, select Close.

  9. You will need to exit out of the Edit Association Details screen by clicking Close.

  10. The update has been successful, if, when changing to a PPE date past 31 March 25, from Setup, Tax, Tables double click on the M (Main Income) individual tax table and you should see the Effective Date of 01/04/2025. If not, repeat the above steps or contact support for further assistance.

  11. Once you have confirmed that your tax tables are updated, you are now ready to process your first pay in April. Note: If you are still processing pays in March or are yet to complete all of your End of Month processing and reporting, it is important to make sure that you CHANGE the PPE date back to the appropriate PPE date in March to complete this.
