Create a new Base Pay Rate

Add a new base Pay Rate for an employee

To create a new base pay rate, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Setup, Base Pay Rate, then Add.

  2. Add a description to the Description: field.

  3. The Amount: field is the $ amount to be paid per hour.

  4. The Code: field can be left blank.

  5. Click OK.

To attach this to the employee, follow the steps below:

  1. In the employee file, go to Employment, Dept/Payrate.

  2. Double-click on the department.

  3. Select the new rate in the Base Pay Rate: field using the drop-down arrow.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Close to save the changes.
