ATO Tax Tables for 2026/27 & Award Updates effective 1 July 2026

ATO tax table changes, Award pdls and EOY resources

There is no June 2026 software release for WageEasy; only the ATO Tax Tables update PDLs, as detailed below, and the Award update PDLs that will be available in early July.

Important: The tax table PDL must be applied when you are ready to process your first pay in the new financial year on or after 1 July 2026.

Tax Table changes for 2026/27 in PDL

The updated Tax Table PDL file contains the following Tax table Changes for 2026/27.

Taxation cuts

  • The marginal rate for the $18,201 - $45,000 income bracket is reduced from 16% to 15%.

STSL

• STSL Tax Scales 01 and 02 updated - Updated rates are applied to the Study and Training Support Loan (STSL) Tax Scales 01 (Tax-Free Threshold Claimed) and 02 (No Tax-Free Threshold Claimed).

Termination Tax Changes

• ETP Lower Cap increases from $260,000 to $270,000.

• Redundancy Component D – Initial Tax-Free value increases from $13,100 to

$13,598 and Annual Tax-Free value increases from $6,552 to $6,801.

Additional 2026/27 changes

Superannuation Changes

  • The statutory Super Guarantee percentage remains at 12% from 1 July 2026.

  • Superannuation Guarantee quarterly Contribution Cap, will be replaced with a Yearly Cap $270,830
