Diagnostic: '[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find..."

The error message '[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'AccessLog'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly (-1305)' is a Microsoft access driver communication error.

When this happens, close the error message and the screen you are currently working on.

Make sure all other users have exited the database.

  1. Click File, Maintenance, Database, Maintenance.

  2. Click Yes to do the backup and save it to your backup location.

  3. Once the backup is complete, click Ok and this will bring up the Database Maintenance Wizard.

  4. Click Next, Next as you will be selecting the default database as this is the one you are currently in and need to compact. Tick Compact Database and then Next. Once the database has finished compacting Finish and then log in and try your entry again, this time ensuring a valid entry.
