When running reports, i.e., ATO Payment Summary Report, the user may receive a diagnostic EVariantTypeCastError: Could not convert variant of type (String) into type (Double) because the Region settings on the user's PC are not set to English (Australian) and the date formats are incorrect.
Note: If the database is on a server, then the server's Region and Language settings need to be checked and corrected too.
To correct the error, go to Control Panel on the user's PC, select Region, and ensure the format is English (Australia). The Short date: should be dd/MM/yyyy, and the Long date: dddd,d MMMM yyyy.
Also, check these settings on the server is the database resides on a server.
Note: Some environments may not allow these settings to be modified. Please refer to your IT in that situation. WageEasy is only designed to be run in environments with the English (Australia) language setting and Region as Australia. Short date must be dd\MM\yyyy. If the region is set to US or another country, you will likely see more varied diagnostics and issues presenting than just the scenario above, as, in addition to reporting, leave is also affected by the date format.
